I think it may be a concern that more children mostly girls (just girls perhaps) are trying to follow the celebrities. Fashion such as clothes and hair colour isn't really the problem apart from giving out the wrong signals but i think trying to get to size zero and children wanting to go through plastic surgery is a concern.

Diets can be dangerous as it can lead to anorexia or lead to you becoming ill and dying of starvation. All that for what? Just to look like the celebrities? Just to think your perfect or other people think its perfect (to impress people/someone)? Because being skinny is the fashion? Who wants to walk around like a skeleton anyways, its OTT as far as I'm concerned.

The same with plastic surgery, do people do that for the above reasons too? It could be dangerous and it could lead to regret and it's expensive. Some plastic surgeries are acceptable if you have to have one for example if you have broken your nose and it is to the side or something like that. Is there a really good reason why you should have big boobs, long legs, whats wrong with your natural self?

Every person shouldn't have to be depressed because they don't look as good as the people on TV, it's depressing and it can make you see the world as a cruel place. People should be themselves, it's cool that we are different why should anyone get picked on because their boobs are too small or your nose is too big, its stupid. Just be yourselves MUN! lol

One thing that happens to children is that they GROW up. If someone needs a lesson to learn, I'm sure they'll learn it the hard way or the easy way. Doesn't really matter too much.

As marsbareater 12 siad, It's not an issue to be worried about.

In classrooms today, especially teenage girls, when they read gossip magasines and read about celebrities they simply talk about it as gossip and reflect upon the provenance. However another issue is whether if children try to be like celebrities for example starving themselves or having the party life, then surely the parents should intervene and stop them if it is damaging to their future or health otherwise in my opinion the parents come across as simply not caring about their children properly. I also feel it is not an issue to be worried about though.

I read somewhere that more and more younger girls are worrying about their appearance way more than they should...and also way more than the young girls back then used to.  Even when I walk around and see 6 and 7 year olds playing outside, they seem to be dressed more like the 16 and 17 year olds I see.  I think that in this generation, younger girls have more pressures to look better than everyone else.  It may not be an issue to worry about too much, but it might be something to keep an eye on. At this rate, who knows what will happen in the future.
