That's some good logic there Welsh-Angel Wink

Did anyone actually believe that those photos of 'Maddie' in Morocco were actually real?

Not for an instant. Not only was it not a good likeness but it was just ... too easy, if you get me.

I agree. The odds of her being alive for this long in such good health were so slim as for it to only be the undying hope of the tabloids that was keeping it going the whole time.

I meant that it wouldn't be that simple to spot her in public after so long.

Quote from: Metro - Friday, October 5th, 2007
Kate McCann has spoken of her grief in her first interview since being named as a suspect in her daughter's disappearance by Portuguese police.

The mother of Madeleine McCann said she had cried nearly every day since the four-year-old disappeared and that the most 'trivial' things would bring her 'crashing down'.

Mrs McCann, a GP, said: 'I've had days when, if I wasn't crying about Madeleine, I was crying from the letters and messages people have sent to us. It has helped so much.'

She told how time passed 'surreally' during the initial days after her daughter's disappearance in Portugal on May 3. 'Each day felt like a week,' the 39-year-old added.

Referring to the public scrutiny the couple have endured since being made arguidos – suspects in Portuguese law – Mrs McCann said: 'The coverage should be on Madeleine, no one else.'

Her husband, Gerry, also called for the focus to shift back towards finding Madeleine. 'We want to increase awareness – target specific areas with pictures and billboards and messages,' he said. 'We want to refocus the coverage.'

The McCanns thanked people living in their village, Rothley, and the rest of Leicestershire for their support and told how strangers everywhere had given them their best wishes.

The pair said until recently they had to collect their mail from the post office by car because they were receiving three crates of letters and cards a day.

Messages from well-wishers had kept them 'strong during the worst times'

Wait wait... I'm confused. "Maddie's missing, I'm crying on camera, telling you all to focus on Maddie, and nothing else, yet I'm making you focus on ME by crying and giving you this interview - oh, and telling you how hard life has been for me  having a free, round-the-world holiday and a meeting with the most respected Christian man in the world"

From what she's saying there, don't bother finding out who did it, just find her daughter. Yes, I suppose it's a good thing that she's focused on her daughter, but why should everyone else be? Especially if it IS her fault.

But they think they have something to do with Maddie's disappearance so they are bound to focus on them. The McCanns must be finding it hard I'm not disagreeing with that but they are trying the best they can to find Maddie, it isn't easy.

Hypocrisy, it speaks volumes, If she wanted everything focused on Maddy, then why did she go on a mindless rant about how hard it has been for HER? Why wasn't that rant about Maddy? She caused the kidnapping of her kid, along with her husband, and they then went on to ensure her death. Great job.

There are jokes that have been made about the MCcann case:

e.g. "New car launched in Portugal, has room in the boot for a child, it's a Renault MCcann" (Renault Megane)

What most annoys me here is that the media pumps out bulls*it and we're supposed to read it and then be terribly shook up and feel pity for the said bulls*it since that's how they get their ratings up. People seem to forget stuff like this happens every five seconds. But if someone gets sad about those things, they’re all of a sudden considered to be depressed and pessimistic. It's only fitting to be sad about something if the media throws it in the spotlight. What about all the people starving and dying all over the world? What about the prostitute that’s locked-up in my closet? Why doesn’t anyone feel sad for her? Simple: because she isn’t not on the news or in the spotlight of the media.

Jerry has gone back to work. It doesn't mean they have given up on Madeleine.

'PS3 vs 360' is longer, which is a bit sad when you think about it I guess...
